Percussion

#1 When using percussion it is best to side chain the snares signal through each percussion so that you can get the snare to stick out better. A lot of drums freq’s are shared with the snare drum.

#2 Try panning the various percussive parts around to make a “drum circle” type of feel. Be careful because you can make them sound wider then the song…. or is that what you want to do? Remember, you gotta learn the rules before you can break them the right way 😉
